Of course the saying is “April showers bring May flowers” but the volume of rain we had back at the beginning of the month is really paying off here in Queens, NY, with amazing flowers everywhere.  Maybe I’m just paying more attention (taking more time to smell the flowers so to speak) but it seems like this spring’s crop of blossoms is much better than my previous two in Queens, especially the trees.  All of these shots were taken over the last week in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens, two fine neighborhoods in the best borough of the best city in the world.  I hope you enjoy them!

They aren’t birds but blossoms sure can be beguiling!
