First off, no, we will not be eating birds nor looking at birds that are about to be eaten in this quiz.  Instead, we will be looking at images of birds on porcelain plates that I saw in the Metropolitan Museum of Art on a recent visit.  Let me state for the record that I have no idea whatsoever what birds are actually on these plates except that all of them depict Asian birds, or, at least, are supposed to depict Asian birds, so this quiz will therefore have no answer post.  All we have to go on to determine the identities of the birds in the pictures below is what you all come up with in the comments.  So, have at it!
