A Pine Marten (Martes martes) is a northern European mustelid, like an arboreal weasel. A Black Stork (Ciconia nigra) is a big bruiser of a bird. When these two battle, don’t get between them!

Mike any clue on transpired after they went out of range???
Yes. Check the links in the sidebar to the right of the video and you’ll see that I linked to #3 in a series of four. I won’t spoil the ending.
Amazing how the Pine Marten mostly ignored the stork bites and was so focused on filling its belly…at least until the very end of the video clip. Interesting what hunger will do to an animal.
Wow! Mustelids are so tough.
I don’t like being distracted during my dinner. A figure like this doesn’t develop by being easily put off your food, but I don’t think I could have stood a beaking like that, even for carrot cake.
The Martin must have been hungry!
