A 60-year old man from Forest Lake, Minnesota, is in jail after threatening his apartment building’s caretaker with a handgun after the caretaker attempted to remove a bird nest from the building. Details as to what species was involved are not available, but the gun was reportedly a .45 caliber, and it was given up to police without confrontation when they arrived to arrest the bird-nest-protecting gunslinger. The fate of the nest is unknown.
Well, threatening someone with a gun is always bad.
However, I can’t deny a certain amount of sympathy.
Although he went a bit too far, good for him sticking up for birds! We should start a defense fund.
Nice catch! You must have a hell of a good google alert system going!
@Jochen and Pat: I agree…though I don’t think that the defense fund will be getting a contribution from me.
@Greg: Thanks! I have my methods…
