I and the Bird #96
You know Rob Fergus, right? Every so often (okay, pretty much every day) this mild-mannered Audubon Senior Scientist exchanges his lab coat (I don’t think he wears a lab coat) for high-powered optics and a cape (I don’t think he wears one of these either) assuming his notorious alias, The Birdchaser. Rob is an established I and the Bird stalwart, having hosted almost as many times as Steve Martin has hosted Saturday Night Live. His newest effort is nothing less than a star turn. Imagine that you’re an oystercatcher — you’ve got 11 extant species to choose from — and the world of birds is your oyster. If the concept is still a little fuzzy, just check out Rob’s juicy edition of I and the Bird #96.
Each and every edition of I and the Bird further establishes its reputation as the official source of the best bird blogging in the world. Don’t you want to be a part of it? Everybody who writes well on the topics of birding or wild birds is welcome. Our next edition will be hosted by New York City’s own Carrie Laben of Great Auk – or Greatest Auk?. I suspect it will rock so get your contributions to me or Carrie (labenc AT gmail DOT com) by the end of March for the 4/2 edition.
