Scott over at Year of the Bird is well on his way to his goal of breaking the New York State Big Year Record, with an impressive 253 species already.  Nate of The Drinking Bird just got back from a run through western North Carolina that got him closer to his goal of breaking the North Carolina record.  And the biggest North American Big Day ever just happened in April, in, where else, Texas, with an amazing 260 species logged in 24 hours!
