A grounded cargo vessel wrecked on Nightingale Island, which is part of the Tristan da Cunha archipelago in the South Atlantic. Consequently, a spill of both fuel and heavy crude oil now  threatens island wildlife, including nearly half of the world population of endangered Northern Rockhopper Penguin. If there is any good news, it may be that the Inaccessible Island Rail is probably safe by dint of being inaccessible!
