Regular readers here know of my dedication to all things related to birds and Queens, the best borough in New York City. The Queens Christmas Bird Count is coming up in six days, on Sunday, 19 December, and we need more birders! If you are interested in joining in please contact Ian Resnick, the Queens CBC compiler, at (718) 631-9643. We also have a planning session at the next Queens County Bird Club meeting this coming Wednesday, 15 December, at 8 PM at the Alley Pond Environmental Center.
Corey, have you learned how to identify Christmas Birds for your count?
If not, this might help:

And remember to NOT count anything else but Christmas Birds:

Cheers!
Jochen, this is Queens, the most diverse borough in NYC. We identify Christmas partidges, Hannukah hawks, Muslim mimids, and Atheist aythyas.
