Now that the Obama administration is firmly ensconced in Washington DC, American Robins are nesting just outside the White House briefing room.  Apparently, this is the first record of robins nesting on White House grounds since ex-Vice President Dick Cheney allegedly started ordering robin-egg omelets for breakfast, that is, when he couldn’t get his preferred souls of small children to devour.
