Can you believe that this is the final weekend of August?? Next weekend marks the unofficial end of this season and the beginning of the next, which sees American kids returning to school and migrants returning to the Neotropics. But this weekend still promises summer fun and, at least around here, blistering temps. Make the most of it!

This weekend, I’m scoping shorebirds along the Assateague Island National Seashore. Corey is kicking it around NYC. How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
