Here in the United States, we’re celebrating Memorial Day and its attending rites of Americana from parades to barbecues. Many of us also get a long weekend, though social obligations often eat up a lot of that time. For example, I’m headed down to NYC for a full house of family events, which will alas mean no birding. Corey is one of those unfortunate souls who has to work even harder during a weekend where most American lie idle; he’ll be working a picket line in south Jersey.  On the other hand, he has seen 42 birds in two days from the line already, so he’s not suffering too badly! Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
