Fall has well and truly fallen. Round these parts, the imperative is to get out there as much as possible before the first snowfall. True, Rochester doesn’t have it quite as bad as Nunavut, but now that autumn is here, I can’t help but note that winter isn’t far off either. So what will you be doing this weekend to celebrate the first weekend of the new season? Will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

My weekend looks pretty jammed up right now with mundane activities so my best birds will be whatever hits my feeder. Corey will be birding Prospect Park on Saturday morning with photoblogger Adam Welz. Charlie is headed down to the Great Bustard Group site with Mark Anderson, Director of BirdLife South Africa so he’s bound to see at least one impressive bird!

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
