September has been flush with weekends this year, but all good months must come to an end. But worry not… regardless of weather conditions, this month goes out like a lion when it comes to birds on the move!

This weekend, I’ll continue searching for local fall migrants, hopefully not in vain. Corey told me where he’d be birding this weekend, but I already forgot; apparently, his plans aren’t that exciting. How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!

Keep your eyes to the skies for migrating raptors like these kettling Broad-winged Hawks
