With the arrival of May, we turn from bird love to migrant mania. Forget March Madness… this is when things get crazy for those in sync with the endless sojourns of countless species. Make the most of this special time!

Speaking of making the most of special times, I’m taking my (very, very, very lucky) kids down to Orlando for a long weekend of intense recreation. Yes, we are doing Disney, so share your survival tips! And yes, I’m bringing my bins. Corey will be traveling as well this weekend, making his way to the Windy City for a conference. He hopes to sneak off for at least part of one morning to look for birds.  How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below…

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
