Notice the change in the length of days? Fall has fallen upon the Northern Hemisphere, while spring is springing in the Southern. This is a time of transformation and peregrination. Birds are on the move… are you? Fall is fully upon the Northern Hemisphere, which means that birds are well and truly on the move. How about you? How are you going to spend this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

I’m angling to get out into woods somewhere, even if they’re wet (which they probably will be!) Corey won’t be doing much birding this weekend, but if he does get out, it will be along the coast as NYC has a ton of wind and weather coming from the south. Charlie doesn’t expect many birds either, but hopes to edit the chat he’s recording with BirdLife Malta.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!

Keep your eyes to the skies for migrating raptors like this Osprey over New York
