If you haven’t noticed, the holidays are upon us.  Don’t worry… there’s still time to panic! But Yuletide celebrations herald more than just egg nog, latkes, and Secret Santa swaps. One of the historic highlights of this season for bird watchers is the Christmas Bird Count! Are you participating in any CBCs this year?

I’m headed down to NYC this weekend, where I have a date with a Bronx Barnacle Goose. That bird better be there when I arrive! Corey is in California, where he has a date with Seagull Steve, biographer of the infamous Felonious JiveHow about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
