This is the first weekend of the Age of Obama. No matter where in the world you live or what you believe in, this simple yet radical shift in American leadership must mean something to you. How will the new U.S. administration impact your weekend. Will you be watching birds? Comment below on the excitement you have planned!

I’ll be keeping it real here in Rochester, hopefully real warm. Corey won’t have that luxury as he’ll be ripping up Massachusetts and New Hampshire for rare birds as a competitor in the sixth annual Super Bowl of Birding. Please wish Corey, Nate, Patrick, Christopher, and Quintus the very best of luck as the defend the honor of bird bloggers everywhere as the Bloggerhead Kingbirds (apparently Bloggerhead Shrikes was taken…) Charlie will either be heading into or out of Vancouver but wherever he is, there’s no doubt he’ll be fighting for the rights of birds everywhere to fly free.

Whatever you do this weekend, make time to enjoy Sky Watch Friday

We’ve been celebrating Parrot Month at 10,000 Birds this January. If you haven’t been absolutely engrossed by the amazing posts contributors have been sharing, here’s a taste of what you’ve been missing.
