Weekends carry more emotional heft in most of our personal planners, probably because we save all of our fun for Friday through Sunday. Also, many see their weekdays governed almost exclusively by their business calendars. But then again, many of us use all seven days in a week for both work and recreation. Right now, I’m working 24-7 to keep hackers from tearing down this blog! Does that count as work or play? And does your weekend cover different days than Saturday and Sunday?

This weekend, I look forward to finding some fall migrants close to home. Corey will be scouring coastal Queens for avian oddities as well. How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
