Is summer over yet? The solstice has not yet arrived but it sure feels like fall around here. The birds seem to think so too considering how many begin fall migration before September even begins! What will you be doing this weekend and will you be watching birds? Please share your plans in the comments below.

I’m more likely to observe art than avifauna since the Clothesline Festival, Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine art and crafts festival, is coming to town. Corey and Charlie will probably have better luck in the bird department but my eye for artwork is uncanny.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!

Look out for flecks of gold against an azure sky!
