A long list of countries choose to observe Father’s Day on the third Sunday of June, an ideal time to celebrate dads being dads. After all, most fathers celebrate their special day either by doing something outside with their kids or doing something outside without them!

I’ll definitely be spending Father’s Day with Mason and Ivy since I’ve just returned from a week of intense birding in Trinidad and Tobago. Corey will eventually return from his own intense assay of Hungarian avifauna, but I’m not sure just when. Rumors suggest he may have escaped from his handlers…

How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below!

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!

The only thing better than visiting a gorgeous new country is returning home…
