Those who know me don’t often find me quoting the Bible, but the roller coaster of emotions many Americans have ridden on this past week, not to mention the endless ebb and flow of fortune around the world, has a verse from Ecclesiastes ringing in my ears: A generation goes and a generation comes, But the earth remains forever. Also, the sun rises and the sun sets; And hastening to its place it rises there again. The sun rises, no matter what.

It will be my good fortune to go birding in the NYC area with Corey this weekend. I doubt that providence will extend to include rare or exciting birds, but we won’t know until we venture forth. How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
