Assuming you survived the calendar craziness of 12/12/12, it’s time to come to grips with the truth you may have been denying: the 2012 holiday season has now started. I’m typing this from a coffee shop on Singapore’s famed Orchard Road, which is glamorous testament to the fact that the Yule Season is embraced all over the globe. So how’s that holiday shopping coming?

I’ll be coming back home this weekend, but need time to process a birding binge that brought me to three new countries in five days. Time to let the bins cool off. Corey, of course, always keeps his optics running hot. If there is a bird that needs seeing in the Tristate area this weekend, he’s on the job on Saturday. On Sunday he’ll be doing the Queens Christmas Bird Count. How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
