We are privileged to have quite a few mockingbirds in our yard and neighborhood. When I first moved into my house there was one lonely guy that sung his heart out ALL night long. I’d never experienced this type of dedication to the procurement of a little booty, buy, hey, guys are like that… The new guy on the block sits atop the telephone pole and its attendant wires all day emulating everything from a locust to the small frogs that thrive here during the rainy season. Today we actually heard him screetching out the sounds of redtailed hawks gliding through the skies – pretty nifty. I’m going to try playing some Bach or Shostakovich on my boom box to see if he picks up on that! Yours in Perpetual Amazement, Kay
