Greg Laden has a post up entitled “Global warming denialism? It ends now.”  He is essentially pointing out for the umpteenth time that any rational person who has any idea what they are talking about understands that the argument is over and has been over for ages.  The only ones left saying climate change isn’t happening or isn’t because of people are essentially crazy (or shills for big business).  Sadly, I think that our “objective” press is unable to handle this basic truth and will continue to present “both sides” of the issue.  We need to focus entirely on mitigation and solutions but we can’t even get to that point yet.

But hammering away with facts like the one that Greg shared certainly help: “June 2011 was the 315th consecutive month above the 20th century average. The last time we experience a month with global temperatures lower than the 20th century average was February. February 1985.”

Come on, denialists!  Why are you so stupidly stubborn?  The world needs to get to fixing the problems associated with climate change and you just keep sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting at the top of your lungs.  What gives?
