I saw an interesting article from 2009 where a farmer used a falcon to keep them off the blueberries. Seemed to work better than fireworks or cannons. It’s an interesting dilemma.
I manage a blueberry farm in central Florida. While birding, I may see a flock of 20, maybe even 75 or so. At work, I will see 250 on a slow day. The largest flock I have seen at a single time this year was estimated to me more than 800 birds. That was a LOT of blueberries!
