If a blog carnival kept a year list, I and the Bird would undoubtedly leave the rest in its well-traveled dust. One week, IATB watches the sun set in Saratoga Springs, NY and just a fortnight later sees the sun rise on the Subcontinent. Yes, we’re in India and in good hands too; Ambika of Madras Ramblings has been an active contributor of the years but this is her first time hosting. Visit her wonderful blog for a inspiring poetic edition of I and the Bird #109. So ebullient is Ambika’s verse that even commenters are moved to rhyme. Here’s a euphonious endorsement right out of the comments section from Ashwin of The Butterfly Diaries:

To be feted thus and thus
by Ambika, makes me happy
The many posts a reading plus
Can now read for hours carefree
Rambling around Madras and setting birds to rhyme
Makes me envious of her all the time

You may not criss cross the world as freely as I and the Bird does but you can certainly travel along. IATB is coming back to the US into the arms of an experienced host with a new blog. Send your link and summaries to me or Summer of Foovay’s Cauldron (sffoovay AT gmail DOT com) by September 29 for the October 1 edition.

Also be advised that we need hosts to take us through the rest of the year. Those of you who have never hosted take precedence but former hosts are also welcome to curate another edition. Contact me ASAP!
