Today is the deadline for contributions to the 5th anniversary edition of I and the Bird, hosted here on Thursday. Please look back in your blog archives and determine your very best trip report. This could be a post from years ago or as fresh as next week (meaning you can write one if you don’t have one you love), and the destination can be far-flung or close to home. You can even submit one you’ve already shared with I and the Bird. Send me a link to your submission along with a brief explanation of why you chose that report. Hurry!
Hi Mike, Hope I can contribute an IATB post by commenting, as I don’t have your e-mail at hand. At Round Robin, I’ve been visiting Louisiana shorebird colonies, both oiled and unoiled, and offering a bit of biological insight about what’s happening. Here’s one post: Oiled mangroves and the birds within http://birdsredesign.wordpress.com/2010/06/29/louisiana-report-oiled-mangroves-and-the-birds-within-slideshow/ – there are seven in all. They include slideshows as well, with some very detailed photographs taken by one of our photographers, Benjamin Clock. Thanks for considering,
