The oldest Yellow Warbler ever documented was recaptured in June (link is very slow to load). First banded in June of 2001 at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center (where I saw my trigger bird) she is at least 11 years old!

That is so unbelievably awesome! Thank goodness for bird banding stations to document this kind of stuff.
Amazing!! Banding is fantastic. What knowledge to be gleened here. We have so much to learn to help these birds and preserve their natural environment.Bravo!!
How cool to have recaptured that bird. Yellow Warblers should be showing up in Costa Rica anytime now.
