Now that we’re in April, the time has come to wrap up all the bird (and non-bird) competitions the month of March is famous for. Over the Cornell Lab of Ornithology Facebook page, Pileated Woodpecker and Snowy Owl are locked in a figurative death match… obviously, the owl would win a literal one, but won’t take the championship without help. At Tezini, Goldeneagle Cooper helps me understand why they call the event March Madness, but you’ll love the video of his winner.
