Birders of the world, this is your time. Migrants are still on the move, which places us at one of our annual peaks of avian observation excitement. Within a month, your odds of a serendipitous songbird encounter will decrease dramatically, at least until the next migration. So gather ye migrants while ye may!

I’m working this weekend but will make every effort to get out to catch the back half of what is still an active stream of migrants pouring through Rochester en route to the great boreal forests in the north. It should go without saying that Corey will be birding as well, wherever the warblers are thickest.

How about you? Where will you be this weekend and will you be birding? Share your plans in the comments below.

Whatever your plans this weekend, make time to enjoy SkyWatch Friday. Also be sure to come back Monday to share your best bird of the weekend!
