They are talking about seagulls, not gulls. Obviously you missed that important bit.
Frankly, a dive-bombing Seagull (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_nDzEkm6c5Xg/R8gACMlaUzI/AAAAAAAAAnk/Xi2xNRWls3Q/s1600-h/seagull.jpg) would scare the living things out of any dog, so I fully sympathise with the owner and think the Seagulls need to go.
If it had carried the dog away she wouldn’t need to worry any more! She could have gone out and got a real dog! German Shepherds don’t put up with this sort of thing…do they Jochen?! 🙂
German Shepherds are the reason why small aeroplanes must maintain a flight altitude of more than 20 metres over Germany. 🙂
