Last year a Western Reef Heron was spotted in Maine and New Hampshire, last week one was spotted in New Jersey, and today one showed up in Brooklyn! The New Jersey and New York birds are almost undoubtedly the same individual, but could it have overwintered?
Corey is a New Yorker who lived most of his life in upstate New York but has lived in Queens since 2008.
