I was just tipped off to an fascinating lawsuit that hinged on the defendants’ adherence to the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Or maybe the lesson is that all Canada Geese should be extradited (joke!)

It’s a crazy world. Don’t you wonder how much that cost? And who paid for it?
I looked around the site to see what options that business had, if they could counter sue, for example but I couldn’t find anything. The information page sounds like the party being sued pays for their own legal bills, win or lose, which surprises me. Anybody know more about this kind of thing? Apparently the organization is trying to work up better regulations for the whole business of lawsuits to protect small business from the damage they incur but they fail to give much information beyond some basics there. No way to contact them that I could see.
