Feedspot recently ranked 10,000 Birds as the number 5 birding website/resource online.
The sites ahead of us occupy the sort of airspace normally reserved for major institutions: Cornell, Audubon, BirdLife International, and similar organizations with global reputations and budgets likely exceeding the GDP of several small countries.
Then there is us.
We are therefore choosing to interpret this ranking not as evidence that 10,000 Birds has become unusually important, but rather that somebody at Feedspot has admirable taste.
Either way, we are grateful for the recognition.
