Quite difficult to pin it down to one bird; however, the Pygmy Kingfisher is my choice.

The name of our lodge is Footsteps Eco Lodge and we have been in operation for nearly 25 years.

We offer birding days with top-class male and female bird guides and have hides & bird feeders on site and in the surrounding areas.

Our team has been at the forefront of what we do since day one, and this has meant that we now have a team of seasoned professionals, many of whom have worked with us for nearly 25 years.

What is the best time to visit your lodge, and why?
If you wish to combine great birding with nice weather, then 1st November until 1st May each year is the best time.

Is your lodge involved in conservation efforts? If yes, please describe them.
Footsteps is involved in many conservation efforts, such as beach cleaning days, Gunjur dog patrol, a charity which treats sick dogs in the local area, as well as educational kids clubs, and also neutering and spaying days.

What other suggestions can you give to birders interested in visiting your lodge?
Bring sensible clothing and walking shoes, suncream, insect repellent, and a good pair of binoculars.
