15 minutes from Quito International Airport, 35 minutes from Quito. Easy access, gateway to the Northern – Eastern Slopes.

What kind of services – except for accommodation and food – does your lodge offer to visiting birders?
Private birding tours, photography blinds, hummingbird and tanager feeders, hiking trails, on -site 2hr-3hr birding tour usually in the morning, around 30 species, llama feeding, observation deck, viewing points, pre-Inca archeological tunnel from the 1400’s, museum, historic site.

Our lodge is a place where comfort meets nature, only 15 minutes from Quito airport, experience great hospitality, delicious meals, with a registered 126 bird species, in the only natural reserve so close to the airport.

All year round. The temperature in the Andes ranges from 10 to 25 celsius, making it special for birding

Is your lodge involved in conservation efforts? If yes, please describe them.
Yes, we have 2 main projects:
- Reforestation of our cliff adjacent to the Rio Churoloma that merges with the Rio Chiche (one of the main ones in Quito). We have already planted 2000 native trees to attract rain, new bird species, and make it a refuge for wildlife.
- Antisana Condor Observatory, we planted in 2025 11,000 plants and trees native to the Andean paramo, to protect the ecosystem and home to the Andean condor and spectacled bear.

What other suggestions can you give to birders interested in visiting your lodge?
Best place to overnight close to the airport, stay at least 2 days, is not only an airport hotel, as you have many activities onsite. A special place to relax and reconnect with nature.
